The Russell Badminton Club offers a welcoming space for players of all skill levels to enjoy open play badminton. We focus on affordability, accessibility, and promoting sportsmanship, respect, and love for the game.
HOW IT WORKS:
The Russell Badminton Club provides venues, with volunteers setting up the gym and supplying birdies. Players must bring their own rackets and indoor shoes (outdoor shoes are not permitted). Players under the age of 18 must wear protective or prescriptive eyewear.
Players by Age Group
Players 13 years old and up - including adults: The club offers open play, with no instructors, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Players 10-12 years old: On Saturdays, certain courts will be reserved for younger players, with instructors available to teach badminton and conduct practice drills. Parents are required to remain onsite.
Coaching opportunities will become available once the season begins. These optional sessions are not included in the regular registration fee. More information will be posted on our Russell Badminton Club website and Facebook once arrangements are finalized.
