The Russell Badminton Club offers a welcoming space for players of all skill levels to enjoy open play badminton. We focus on affordability, accessibility, and promoting sportsmanship, respect, and love for the game.

Shoes & Rackets

Players must bring their own rackets and clean indoor court shoes.• Outdoor shoes are strictly prohibited on school gym floors.

Mandatory Eyewear

Players under the age of 18 must wear protective or prescriptive eyewear while on the court at all times.

Open Play • All Ages
Open Play Sessions

The club offers open play on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Children, youth, and adults are all welcome to play together in friendly pick-up games.

• Format: Friendly doubles and singles pick-up games with rotational play.

• Instruction: Open play runs without instructors so players can enjoy games at their own pace.

* Note: Players must be 13 years or older for the Monday session in Casselman per school regulations.

Membership fees are payable by Interac e-Transfer to russellbaddminton@gmail.com.

• Please bring your own rackets and clean indoor-only court shoes. Shuttles/birdies are provided by the club.
